The Toronto Maple Leafs sold off two veteran forwards at the trade deadline, moving Scott Laughton to the Los Angeles Kings and Bobby McMann to the Seattle Kraken, according to multiple reports.
Toronto reportedly will receive a conditional third-round draft pick for Laughton and a 2027 second-rounder and 2026 fourth-rounder for McMann, both of whom are pending unrestricted free agents.
The conditional pick becomes a second-round selection if the Kings reach the playoffs, per ESPN.
The Leafs dealt a first-round pick to the Philadelphia Flyers to acquire Laughton at last year's deadline. Over 63 total games with the team, the 31-year-old center recorded 10 goals and 16 points.
McMann, 29, has 19 goals and 32 points in 60 games this season and totaled 54 goals and 91 points over 200 Leafs appearances. The organization signed him as an undrafted college free agent in 2020.
The Leafs are eight points out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture following back-to-back road losses to the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers. Laughton and McMann missed both games for roster management purposes.
The Kraken, holders of the Western Conference's final wild-card spot, have a three-point lead over the Kings, Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks.
