The Minnesota Wild acquired forward Nick Foligno from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for future considerations on Friday.
The elder Foligno, 38, will join his younger brother, Marcus, 34, in Minnesota.
Also on Friday, the Wild landed forward Bobby Brink from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman David Jiricek.
Nick Foligno, who is the current captain of the Blackhawks, has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 37 games this season. He is playing on the final season of a two-year, $9 million contract before being slated to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the campaign.
Nick Foligno has totaled 608 points (250 goals, 358 assists) in 1,270 career games with the Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins and Blackhawks.
Brink, 24, has 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists) in 55 games this season with Philadelphia. The Minnetonka, Minn. native is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer.
Selected by the Flyers in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Brink has 94 points (36 goals, 58 assists) in 201 career games.
Jiricek, 22, has yet to record a point in 25 games this season with the Wild.
He has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 84 career games with the Blue Jackets and Wild. He was selected by Columbus with the sixth overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft before being traded to the Wild on Nov. 30, 2024.
