Trevor Zegras and Matvei Michkov scored in a shootout to give the visiting Flyers a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday and continue Philadelphia's extra-time winning ways on the road.
Noah Cates posted one goal and one assist while Travis Konecny and Travis Sanheim also tallied for the Flyers (33-23-12, 78 points), who have won six consecutive road games, all in extra time.
Michkov and Rasmus Ristolainen both collected a pair of assists. Flyers goaltender Sam Ersson made 22 saves through regulation and overtime and denied both Kings he faced in the shootout.
Zegras, his team's first shooter, buried a forehand deke. Michkov sealed the victory with a perfect shot from the slot.
The Flyers are six points off a playoff position with 14 games remaining in regular season.
Artemi Panarin collected one goal and one assist while Quinton Byfield and Anze Kopitar scored once each for the Kings (28-24-16, 72 points).
Goalie Darcy Kuemper stopped 17 shots through regulation and overtime.
Los Angeles, which has 14 games left in the campaign, holds the Western Conference's second wild-card spot despite having alternated losses and wins over the past 11 games.
After a sluggish start to the clash, Byfield opened the scoring when he gained the puck just inside the right circle and ripped a top-corner shot with 29 seconds remaining in the first period.
It began a back-and-forth affair.
Konecny responded 26 seconds into the second period, burying a shot from the high slot through a screen.
Kopitar restored the Los Angeles lead 21 seconds later when he pounced on a loose puck for an easy tap-in to net his fourth goal in as many outings.
The Flyers responded with two goals in the next six-plus minutes to go in front. Cates shoved a loose puck over the line after Kuemper blocked a point shot but could not corral the rebound at 4:12.
Sanheim made it a 3-2 game with a seeing-eye point shot to end a dominating shift at 6:59 of the middle frame.
Panarin tied the affair just past the midway point of the third period with a top-corner shot for a power-play goal.
